Beach Landings and New Friends

A break in the weather meant a group of coastal pilots made its way out to Vargas Island for a beach fly-in.

Recently a few of our members organized a Vargas Island beach fly-in that had a pretty solid turn out. Pilots from the lower mainland and Qualicum loaded up our airplanes and made the quick trip out to the beautiful West Coast. It was a great opportunity to meet new friends and appreciate just how beautiful it is to fly where we do. Thanks to Sealand Flight and QFC member Mike for letting us take one of their Cessna 172s for the off-field landing.
